Rising Youth Voices: Empowering Youth Through Human Rights Education

Jun 2024 – December 2024

Donor: The Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs

By the end of 2024, the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights will provide education on human rights for schoolchildren in certain primary and secondary schools in Belgrade and Serbia. In addition to these trainings, two training sessions will be held for 12 teachers from primary and secondary schools. Also, a traditional human rights school will be held, which includes a ten-day capacity building program for young people aged 18 to 30 in Belgrade, as well as a platform for youth voice and youth activism – an event for about 100 young people from all over Serbia.

The project aims to improve human rights education at different levels of education, improving the knowledge of young people and the capacities of teachers within the formal education system, adapting programs according to specific needs. In addition, a platform will be organized where the voice of young people will have the opportunity to be heard.
