Bihac II

In September 2014, Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor indicted[1] Svetko Tadic, member of the Army of the Republic of Srpska, for committing a war crime against civilians, along with Zoran Tadic, Zoran Berg, Zeljko Babic and Goran Mihajlovic, in the second half of September 1992, in Bihac municipality (BiH).  

According to the indictment, in the morning of 23 September 1992, accused Tadic, together with Zoran Tadic, Zoran Berg, Zeljko Babic and Goran Mihajlovic, killed civilians Safia Mesic, Ibrahim Mesic, Hava Mesic and Mina Hrnjica and tried to kill Sacir Mesic, in Mesici (near village Orasac).

The indictment further alleges that on the same day, in Djule (near village Orasac), Svetko Tadic with Zoran Tadic and other members of the Republic of Srpska police killed Resid Sahinovic. The accused Svetko Tadic, together with Zoran Tadic, Jovica Tadic, Zoran Berg, Zeljko Babic[2], Djuro Tadic[3], Slobodan Djuric and Gojko Djuric[4], on the same day, in Duljci, allegedly also killed 18 civilians[5], who were sent there to pick plums.



[2] Zoran Tadic, Jovica Tadic, Zoran Berg and Zeljko Babic were sentenced for the same crime before the Cantonal Court in Bihac, on the basis of plea agreements.

[3] In December 2014, Djuro Tadic was finally convicted before the Court of Appeal in Belgrade.

[4] Slobodan Djuric and Gojko Djuric passed away before proceedings were initiated.

[5] On that occasion Hasan Nasufovic, Bekir Sahinovic, Safija Sahinovic, Hasnija Sehic, Ismeta Dzaferagic, Zejna Saric, Sadeta Mujic, Muha Dusanovic, Meha Dupanovic, Aga Dupanovic, Sero Rakic, Husa Saric, Vahida Vojic, Fatima Vojic, Senija Vojic, Aldina Vojic, Sabira Kolakovic and Safija Sehic were killed.
