Third topic discussed during the training for young journalists was that of war crimes. The venue of the event was the Centre for cultural decontamination in Belgrade.
Participants had the opportunity to hear the following speakers: Bojan Gavrilovic and Zarko Markovic from the Belgrade Center for Human Rights, Jasna Sarcevic from the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor in Belgrade, journalist Tanja Tagirov from the weekly Vreme, Ivan Protic from the B92 media outlet and a journalist Ljubica Gojgic from the Television B92 .
Following the lecture on war crimes, students had the opportunity to visit the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor in Belgrade, where they attended the trial for war crime committed in the village of Lovas in Croatia and visited the premises of the Prosecutor’s Office.
The Prosecutor staff in charge of public affairs presented the work of the Prosecutor office and elaborated upon the importance of public relations department in the overall work of the office.
