Dr. Žarko Korać, a National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Deputy, is the winner of the “Konstantin Obradović” Prize in 2013, which the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights awards every year to individuals for their contribution to the improvement of the human rights culture.
The Belgrade Centre for Human Rights published an overview of the results of measures undertaken in accordance with the Government of Serbia Strategy for reducing overcrowding in penal institutions in Serbia, adopted for the 2010-2015 period. (more…)

ApsArt, YUCOM and Belgrade Centre for Human Rights implemented a one-year project “From Law-breaking to Law-making”. In Theatre “Joakim Vujic” in Kragujevac, on Sunday 24 November, staged the second public performance of RESORT PRISON, in more than excellent atmosphere and with very active audience – made up of representatives of civil society, state institutions in the field of law, social protection and health.

STEP Activities:
KORAK-HAPI-STEP is a coalition formed with goal of implementing a regional action to improve the status of human rights in Serbia, Montenegro, and Kosovo, in the areas of LGBT rights, strengthening the role of women in politics and public life, and monitoring court procedures for discrimination.
