From 27 to 29 July we’ve been in Portoroz, Slovenia, on a regional conference “Migration – International Legal Regulation” in organization of International Law Association of Slovenia.
The general theme of the conference was migration and international refugee law, and it was an ideal forum for discussing challenging questions of both public international law and private international law. The conference was a place for exchange of experiences of 130 participants and panelists on topics such as rights of migrants, global migration response, possible development of international migrants law, cultural heritage exchange, as well as new topics like climate migrations, concept of climate refugees and legal framework applicable to them. This conference was also an opportunity to gain specialized knowledge in fields of EU law and international humanitarian law-international refugee law relation.
The conference was attended by members of United Nations International Law Commission, as well as members of national and regional branches of International Law Association.
